Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the retail industry, located in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a Staff Accountant you will have a significant role in maintaining financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, and managing general ledger activities.

Responsibilities:

• Handling day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments

• Overseeing general ledger updates and preparing journal entries

• Conducting bank reconciliations on a regular basis

• Participating in the month end close process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy

• Utilizing data analytics to review and analyze financial data

• Maintaining subsidiary accounts and making necessary adjustments

• Preparing comprehensive financial reports for management

• Participating in special projects as required by the team, contributing your expertise and knowledge

• Ensuring all financial records are kept accurately and updated as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Extensive knowledge in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Demonstrated experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in Data Analytics

• Experience in managing Subsidiary Accounts

• Ability to accurately Maintain Records

• Experience in preparing Financial Reports

• Willingness to take on Special Projects as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
