Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

This position entails significant welding on stainless steel, primarily using MIG and Stick welding. You will perform mechanical troubleshooting on gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining large industrial furnaces, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and working with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on stainless steel using MIG and Stick welding techniques.

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues on gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor systems.

• Maintain and repair large industrial furnaces.

• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.

• Use hand and power tools for various maintenance and repair tasks.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical maintenance experience.

• Proficiency in welding, including MIG and ARC welding techniques.

• Ability to fabricate using hand tools.

• Experience with mechanical troubleshooting of industrial equipment.

• Knowledge of using hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance of industrial furnaces.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment

This is a 1st shift position, working Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Respirators must be worn in certain areas of the plant during production. Uniforms will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HOPKINSVILLE, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.22 - $25.22/hr.
