Amentum Material Coordinator (Quality Inspector) in Hopkinsville, Kentucky
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures effective implementation of ISO 9001:2015 QMS and Quality Control Plan.
Ensures contract compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) by performing audits and inspections.
Acts as point of contact with customer quality surveillance entities to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are being achieved.
Assists with continual process improvement initiatives.
Monitors customer complaints and works to ensure that effective corrective actions plans are developed and implemented.
Implements performance metric analysis and status reporting process.
Conducts quality self-assessments using Amentum project quality assessment guidelines.
Exercise a high degree of technical skill, judgement, and tact in conducting PWS inspections.
Maintain historical records of PWS audits, perform root cause analysis to determine reasons CARs were written, and maintain data and metrics to reflect audit reports.
Conducts Quality related training as required (i.e., ISO awareness, root cause analysis, corrective action, process improvement)
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical degree or certifications in a quality-related field.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma DMAIC methodologies.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Quality Assurance / Quality Control, or equivalent, role.
Valid driver's license.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Possess the ability to analyze, evaluate, and recommend improvements in quality system processes (use of Lean / Six Sigma DMAIC methodologies preferred).
Strong written and oral communication skills to interface with Management and Government Customers.
Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and other related applications.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
Possess quality management system understanding in accordance with applicable industry and current ISO 9001-2015 quality standard requirements.
Capable of developing management level presentations and reports.
Requires a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
Effectively plan and organize assigned work with a focus on matters of significance.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
