Key responsibilities
Lead the engineering masterplan for the site and execute capital projects under $100,000.
Oversee all aspects of capital execution, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.
Communicate project status to stakeholders within and outside the plant.
Lead and mentor the maintenance department.
Develop and document maintenance plans for equipment, including work descriptions, required parts, tools, and maintenance frequency.
Accurately document all work performed using maintenance tracking systems and technical reports.
Plan schedules in SAP, order parts, and manage work schedules.
Respond to equipment breakdowns, prioritize repairs, and take action with appropriate resources.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine problems using internal and external support.
Perform preventative, predictive, and diagnostic maintenance on production and facility equipment.
Research and procure new materials, parts, and supplies to improve equipment and resolve issues.
Support plant production and quality as assigned by Plant Leadership.
Attend safety meetings, report incidents/accidents, and follow all Company and Plant Safety policies and procedures.
Support the SQF 2000 System and participate in the food safety team.
Be trained in the Kerry HACCP program to identify critical steps for effective implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Plan.
Qualifications and skills
Preferred: Engineering degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, chemical, electrical).
Preferred: Previous experience in maintenance supervision.
Preferred: Experience managing capital projects over $100,000.
Preferred: Knowledge of SAP.
Strong communication, organization, and listening skills.
Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Suite).
This role combines visionary leadership of engineering and maintenance functions and a hands-on approach in a small but critical site for the business. This would be a great role for early-career candidates with 3-8 years in manufacturing plant and who aspire to lead engineering and maintenance organizations at bigger facilities in the future.
Compensation Data
The typical hiring range for this role is $64,479 to $95,074 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
