Description

Our client is searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a contract to full-time basis. The candidate will be handling, processing, and maintaining accounts payable records as well as providing administrative support to the accounts payable department. This position is fully onsite, Monday-Friday from 8:00-5:00pm.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Match invoices with purchase orders

• Post vendor invoices in system daily

• Answer phone calls from vendors

• Check statements and call vendors if invoices are needed

• Cut checks

• Verify checks and vendor address prior to mailing

• Work closely with accounts payable team members

• Assist with monthly closing if needed

• Other responsibilities as assigned

  Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of accounts payable experience

• Experience in coding invoices

• Ability to perform check runs effectively

• Skilled in entering vendor invoices into the system

• Adept at maintaining and managing vendor contacts

• Demonstrated expertise in ensuring smooth month end close processes

• Familiarity with handling purchase orders

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in the use of relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
