Description

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join an oil & gas company in the Galleria area of Houston. The perfect candidate will have proven experience, be detail-oriented, and have mastery in SAP software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all payment data.

• Processing, verifying, and maintaining accounts payable records.

• Collaborating with the purchasing department to reconcile any invoice discrepancies.

• Preparing reports as well as account payable registers and schedules.

• Reconciling accounts payable to the general ledger.

• Assisting the accounting department with month-end closings.

• Complying with standard accounting procedures and company policies.

• Overseeing the automated accounts payable system and associated software.

  Requirements

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role (minimum 2 years).

• Proficiency in SAP software is a must.

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles & accounts payable procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.

• Must be highly detail-oriented and able to carry out tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with automated accounting systems & databases is an advantage.
