Honeywell Advanced Application Engineer in Houston, Texas

As an Advanced Application Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing advanced technical support and expertise to our customers in Houston, TX. You will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, designing and implementing solutions, and ensuring the successful integration of our products into their operations. With your deep knowledge and experience in the field, you will be a trusted advisor to our customers, helping them optimize their processes and achieve their business goals. You will report directly to our Sr. Application Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the success of our customers by:

  • Collaborating with customers to understand their technical requirements and challenges

  • Designing and implementing customized solutions that meet customer needs

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers

  • Conducting product demonstrations and training sessions for customers

  • Building strong relationships with customers and serving as their trusted technical advisor

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver remote support to our premium customers within the HPS Technical support organization, via remote tools and following alert/process monitoring commitments in our A360 contracts. Remote monitoring services are based on Predictive Analysis, Enabled Services, software. Collaborate closely with global colleagues to oversee the installation base and proactively address technical issues identified through our preventive services. Conduct thorough analysis of reactive incidents on-site, identifying root causes to prevent similar incidents in other global sites. Visit to customer locations may be required for Premium support services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability and experience to provide remote support to customers.

  • Ability to deliver remote support & services remotely and effectively.

  • Ability to execute Global Technical Assistance Center (GTAC) and other standard audit checklists.

  • Facilitate issue identification and analysis. Report out to regional stakeholders, work closely with the global team.

  • Proactively manage and respond to customer questions, issues.

  • Maintain strong case documentation and follow up with A360 Performance Managers to ensure that technical recommendations effectively resolve customer issues.

  • Support A360 Performance Managers to enable remote solutions at customer sites making sure the PSC value is consistently demonstrated with each deliverable.

  • Keep technically current with the broad HPS product/systems portfolio, while maintaining expert knowledge on the TPS-Experion-DCS product line.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or computer science

  • 5+ years of experience in the system engineering, operations, or services support functions within the Industrial automation industry.

  • 5+ years in Experion PKS (Process Knowledge Systems)

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
