We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Azure Data Architect within the Oil & Gas industry based in Houston, Texas. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of Azure products and Data platforms such as Databricks, and requires strong collaboration with various teams including Enterprise Architects, Cloud Engineering, Business Architects, and Product teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multiple teams to design and implement solutions that align with organizational goals

• Ensure solutions are optimized for performance, cost, and compliance while maintaining high standards of data governance and security

• Operate hands-on with Azure products and Data platforms such as Databricks

• Develop and deploy Cloud Native Applications using Azure PaaS Capabilities involving App Services Plans, Key Vault, SQL Azure DB, Azure Functions, Containers, Azure Container Apps, AKS

• Manage cloud deployment, technical and security architecture, database architecture, virtualization, software design, networking, DevOps, and DevSecOps

• Employ Azure data services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL Database

• Utilize scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Powershell to automate routine tasks, deploy infrastructure, and manage cloud resources programmatically

• Implement IAM, Authentication and Authorization of applications using Azure AD, OAuth, (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, and RBAC

• Utilize knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and secure networking

• Handle Azure Resource Manager, Virtual Networks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Automation, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Site Recovery

Requirements • Proficient in Azure Databricks, with the ability to manage, optimize, and troubleshoot complex data processing pipelines.

• Experienced in Azure DevOps, with a strong understanding of continuous integration and deployment practices.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps Services, with the capability to incorporate the platform's tools and features to improve efficiency in the development process.

• Adept in Azure Blob Storage management, with skills in implementing and managing data storage solutions.

• Proficient in Azure Data Lake, with the ability to employ its features for large scale data processing and analysis. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
