We are currently looking for a BSA / Sr. Analyst BSA in our Houston, TX location.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities
This position will be responsible to:
Research latest industry practices and technology trends related to document management/collaboration, IT service management, work management and records management to assist with providing advice to business owners and members of the IT organization
Elicit, analyze, specify and validate the business needs of project stakeholders; including interviewing stakeholders and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout all phases of the project
Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects and system requirements
Lead the definition, development and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments
Serve in role of Project Manager as needed and utilize Boardwalk IT project management standards for IT projects
Design, develop and perform test plans/cases to ensure that the system or application functions as specified
Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure that project deliverables meet required specifications
Collaborate with business users and other team members to prioritize outstanding issues, enhancement requests and projects on a routine basis
Participate in on-call support rotation, as required for functional applications supported
Participate in the development, review and delivery of application training materials required to provide the user community with a solid understanding of the functionality available to meet the business requirements and conduct training sessions, as required
Assist in building an application support knowledgebase by documenting issues reported by users and the associated resolution process as requested by senior team members
Assist in conceptualization and development of solutions (hardware, software, processes) that support business requirements
Escalate support and project issues to IT management team as they arise
Perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
Ensure all required system and compliance documentation is complete and accurate
Participate in the development and execution of business continuity processes as requested by senior team members

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years minimum of in-depth, hands-on experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
3-5 years minimum working technical knowledge of project management methodologies
Extensive experience with business requirements gathering and documentation
Demonstrated ability in developing application specification and requirements documentation
Working knowledge of ITSM and work management practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Freshservice)
Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
Working knowledge of Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with the Energy industry and/or experience working in the pipeline oil and gas industry
Experience with specific phases and general knowledge of the entire software development life cycle and working knowledge of agile development methodology
Knowledge of technology trends relating to software application development and support
Familiarity with records management concepts and Microsoft Purview
Experience managing projects that work across business areas
Ability to conduct, compile, and present research in the following area(s): software development and delivery concepts, application testing strategies, project management methodology trends
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or related field of study
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Certifications applicable to the position are desirable
