Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements for systems, processes, and integrations.
Clearly articulate business needs and translate them into detailed technical specifications, workflows, and user stories for development teams.
API Integration:
Work closely with development teams to design, implement, and validate API integrations between systems to ensure seamless data exchange.
Analyze API documentation to integrate new services, troubleshoot errors, and validate endpoints.
Test and monitor system integrations to confirm successful communication between applications.
SQL and Data Analysis:
Develop and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and manipulate data across relational databases.
Collaborate with data teams to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and actionable insights from system-generated reports.
Use SQL to validate the accuracy of data during UAT and integration testing.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
Develop UAT test plans, test cases, scripts, and acceptance criteria based on business requirements.
Execute and lead UAT processes by coordinating efforts with end-users and stakeholders to validate that solutions meet requirements.
Identify, document, and track UAT defects and issues, collaborating closely with development teams for resolution.
Solution Delivery & Support:
Play a key role in system and application implementation projects, ensuring smooth delivery and alignment with business requirements.
Support post-implementation activities, troubleshooting integration issues and conducting root cause analysis for improvement.
Communication and Collaboration:
Act as a key liaison between business units, software developers, QA teams, and IT to ensure alignment and clarity on priorities.
Provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders on project progress, outstanding risks, and resolution timelines.
Requirements
Technical Expertise:
Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, data analysis, and database management.
Strong understanding and hands-on experience working with APIs, including RESTful APIs, SOAP, and web services.
Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI.
Experience with system and application integrations in cloud or hybrid environments.
Business Analysis Expertise:
Ability to create detailed documentation (e.g., requirements documents, process flows, test plans).
Experience working within SDLC frameworks like Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Testing & Problem-Solving:
Strong knowledge of UAT principles and proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, TestRail).
Ability to identify, document, and troubleshoot both functional and technical issues.
Soft Skills:
Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines while maintaining focus and organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for data visualization.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to support API workflows.
Understanding of enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, or financial systems) that rely on API integrations.
Certifications such as:
Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
