The primary function of a Caregiver is to assist the client with companionship, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping and transportation as outlined in the Clients Plan of Care. Caregiver assignments must be completed within the shift unless extenuating circumstances occur.

Caregiver training opportunities are available throughout the year and are a required part of your employment, along with job performance, adherence to Employee Policies and professionalism. These factors will be reviewed during your annual evaluation.

Responsibilities:

Provide clients with respectful, friendly interactions. Assist the client with their hobbies or crafts as requested. Caregivers also help clients with any reading or writing activities as needed or requested. Provide appropriate companionship services when assisting with social and/or entertaining activities.

Provide assistance with grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation as deemed appropriate in the Clients Plan of Care.

Provide laundry assistance, washing and drying clothes and linens using the clients washing machine and dryer. Certain items may need to be hand washed. Follow what is outlined in the Clients Plan of Care. DO NOT IRON.

Light housekeeping: kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedrooms

Run errands and provide transportation to the client as outlined in the clients Plan of Care. Also, monitor clients home and assist in making arrangements for any maintenance needs

This consists of all of the above, plus assistance with a clients personal grooming and hygiene. These services include assistance with bathing/showering, dressing, help with physical movement, transferring from one location to another, exercise, feeding, toileting and routine care of hair and skin.

OTHER NEEDS AS OUTLINED IN THE CLIENTS PLAN OF CARE

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

Minimum Experience: 6 months of experience required

Valid Texas CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) Certification required

Valid Texas Driver's License required (position requires driving to client's home address)

Shift: Full and Part-Time hours available / Varied schedule

Pay Details: $20,800.00 - $27,040.00 annually
