We have an exciting opportunity for a Dust Monitor Project Manager to join the team with Nexus, a teammate company.
The Dust Monitor Project Manager will:
Perform project management for an HLS dust monitor feasibility assessment
Manage the overall efforts related to systems engineering, project engineering, test engineering and logistics engineering
Manage the project team and their activities
Provide budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating support
Monitor cost performance for the project against the established plan
Develop and maintain financial reports
Develop and manage project schedule
Oversee the development of procedures, work instructions and process flows
Manage project risks and opportunities and ensure that a structured risk and opportunity process is followed
Assess how program level changes impact project requirements and execution
Interface frequently with inter-organizational disciplines, NASA personnel, and vendors
Work with the lead systems engineer to meet technical and performance goals
Perform other duties as required
Requisition Qualifications:

Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
Experience managing and leading engineering projects
Experience with financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating
Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels
Ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines
Ability to work independently and autonomously and track tasks and issues to completion
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, environmental testing, and office software
Requisition Preferences:
BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and twelve (12) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph.D. degrees and nine (9) years direct engineering experience
Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures
Prior experience working in a system development project/program
