Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Geoscience Applications and IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical support for geoscience, engineering, and operations applications for one of our large oil and gas clients in Houston, TX. This role involves installing, upgrading, and maintaining software, databases, and hardware infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. This role will also require managing ETL pipelines for data migration and automation, leveraging scripting and programming skills. Additionally, this role supports software licensing, usage reporting, and requires occasional travel to business units nationwide. The pay rate for this position will between $50-65/hr.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Geosciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proficiency in supporting geoscience applications such as Petra, Kingdom, and Petrel.

• Strong experience with ETL tools, particularly Open Spirit, and building data pipelines

• Solid programming and scripting skills in Python (experience with other scripting languages is a plus)

*Familiarity with software licensing management and reporting

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

*Strong communication and interpersonal skills *Experience with additional automation tools and methodologies

• Knowledge of networking and system administration principles

• Familiarly with database management systems (SQL or similar)

• Hands-on experience with VMware vCenter ad Horizon for managing virtualized environments null
