Nabors Head of Procurement & Supply Chain (PSC) in Houston, Texas
The Head of Procurement & Supply Chain (PSC) will lead the global procurement and supply chain function for a leading drilling contractor, driving strategic transformation, operational efficiency, and cost optimization. This position will challenge the status quo, identify inefficiencies, and implement innovative solutions to unlock significant cost savings and improve system integration, procurement processes, and supplier collaboration.
The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strategic mindset—someone who can think outside the box to reshape the PSC function, leverage technology and data-driven decision-making, and foster cross-functional collaboration to support long-term business objectives, including the execution of a Scope 3 emissions reduction roadmap.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Transformation & Cost Optimization
Develop and implement a comprehensive PSC transformation strategy, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency gains, and risk mitigation across global operations.Identify and address system inefficiencies, consolidating and optimizing disparate ERP, procurement, and supply chain systems to improve integration and data visibility.
Drive large-scale cost-saving initiatives by improving supplier negotiations, category management, contract standardization, and demand planning.Establish and create collaborative teams to drive KPIs and performance metrics to track cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain resilience.
Technology & Process Integration
Lead the digital transformation of procurement and supply chain operations, leveraging AI, automation, and predictive analytics to improve decision-making and supply chain visibility.
Evaluate and streamline multiple non-integrated systems, driving the selection and implementation of a unified, scalable procurement and supply chain technology stack.Oversee the adoption of best-in-class procurement practices, ensuring alignment with operational needs and business goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Impact
Work closely with Operations, Finance, IT, and HSE to ensure procurement and supply chain strategies align with business objectives and operational requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize inventory management and improve drilling equipment supply chain efficiencies.
Build strong supplier and vendor partnerships to drive cost-effective sourcing, contract efficiency, and supply security.
Sustainability & Scope 3 Roadmap Execution
Develop and execute a Scope 3 emissions reduction strategy, working with internal teams and external suppliers to drive sustainability initiatives across the supply chain.
Identify and implement low-carbon procurement practices, supplier engagement programs, and data-driven ESG tracking systems.
Ensure compliance with global environmental regulations and corporate sustainability commitments.
Leadership & Change Management
Lead and develop a high-performing global PSC team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Drive organizational change, challenging traditional procurement and supply chain models to enable greater agility and strategic impact.
Champion a data-driven, strategic approach to procurement that moves beyond traditional cost-cutting to value creation and risk management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
15+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing, with senior level leadership in a global oil & gas, drilling, or industrial services organization.
Proven ability to lead transformational change in complex, multi-system environments.
Strong financial acumen and experience in large-scale cost optimization initiatives.
Expertise in supply chain technology, ERP systems, and data analytics, with a track record of integrating disparate systems.
Deep understanding of Scope 3 emissions management, sustainability frameworks, and ESG reporting.
Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships and influence key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Experience in leading procurement & supply chain functions for a drilling contractor or oilfield services company.
Expertise in supplier risk management, global logistics, and contract negotiation in high-risk environments.
Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI-driven procurement, blockchain in supply chain management, and carbon tracking software.
