Job Title: Machine Operator

Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience (DOE)

Shift: 2nd 1pm-9:30pm, 30min lunch with 2-15 min breaks

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for operating various fabricating machines, including cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punches. These machines are used to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures according to job specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch machines to process metal materials.

• Read and interpret job specifications, blueprints, and drawings to determine machine adjustments, material requirements, and quality standards.

• Set up machines by positioning stops or guides to specified lengths, as indicated by scale, rule, or template.

• Monitor machine operation to ensure efficient production and adjust machine settings as necessary.

• Inspect finished products for conformity to specifications using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines to ensure proper functionality.

• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

• Maintain accurate records of production data, machine performance, and quality checks.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve any issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience operating fabricating machinery or related equipment preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Basic math skills and proficiency with measuring tools.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

• Strong commitment to safety and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
