Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

A manufacturer is seeking an I&E maintenance tech to perform electrical and mechanical repairs throughout the production facility. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing equipment involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime on the line. The role heavily focuses on electrical work, accounting for 85% of the tasks. Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing motor controls, PLCs (including ladder logic), HMI screens, variable speed AC and DC drive controllers, and circuits (e.g., E-stop and run circuits). The technician will also perform instrumentation calibration, sensor calibration, and maintenance of servo motion controls, incremental and absolute position encoders, and resolvers. Reading electrical schematics is essential. Mechanical repairs involve maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems, replacing motors, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and other equipment, including conveyors, die cutters, large printing machines, corrugators, palletizers, and wrappers.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 Month(s).

Work Environment

Fast-paced manufacturing environment. Non-climate controlled and can be hot due to machinery, but there are many fans in the building. Working Monday to Saturday/Sunday with a weekend off every 3 weeks. Possible Sunday work as needed or Saturday off if workload permits. Shift: 7pm-5am, 10-12 hour shifts, with rotations to day shifts for 2-3 weeks.
