The Manager, Accounting role at Honeywell is an exciting opportunity to manage the accounting function for our Industrial Automation segment and will report to the Assistant Controller. This individual should be capable of taking a leadership role on monthly accounting responsibilities, special projects and possess a positive attitude, proactive mindset and high attention to detail. This role requires the ability to collaborate both inside and outside the finance function in a fast-paced environment. This individual will partner with segment leadership, serving as the primary point of contact with business unit Chief Financial Officers. You will be responsible for adherence to accounting policies and monitoring of internal controls, participate in accounting close and general ledger maintenance activities, and drive continuous improvement, digitization and other improvement initiatives, while delivering timely, complete, and accurate segment financial reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Accounting operations: Ownership of monthly close activities, reporting and account analysis for the Industrial Automation segment. Partners with regional shared service centers to drive compliance with operational policies.

•Technical accounting: Assist in implementation of new procedures in response to new US GAAP pronouncements and corporate policy changes; preparation of technical memos to support complex transactions.

•Business partnership: Support structuring of transactions to achieve desired business and accounting outcomes.

•Financial reporting: Review of schedules used in the quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes.

•Audit and Controls: Respond to audit requests and inquiries supporting quarterly and annual financial statements as well as SOX and compliance testing.

•Special projects: Execute projects such as support of acquisition or divestiture transactions and finance functional transformation

YOU MUST HAVE

•Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

•Broad US GAAP knowledge and experience with its application

•Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounting / audit. Experience in a top 10 public accounting firm with service to mid or large cap public companies or experience in the controllership function of a Fortune 1000 Company.
