What You'll Do:

• Provide primary care services, including preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic care.

• Manage chronic and acute conditions, coordinate specialty care, and promote wellness through patient education.

• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to document and monitor patient care.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based medical guidelines.

• Examine and talk to patients to diagnose their conditions.

• Carry out specific procedures as appropriately credentialed.

• Make notes as a legal record and for the benefit of other healthcare professionals.

• Work within multidisciplinary teams and liaise with medical and non-medical staff.

• Promote health education.

• Undertake managerial responsibilities such as planning the workload and staffing of the department, especially at senior levels.

What You'll Bring:

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

• Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.

• Strong interpersonal, communication skills, and a commitment to veteran-centered care.

• United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
