EdgewaterTechnical Associatesis seeking qualified candidates for aProcess / Mechanical Engineeropportunity to support anEngineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project.

Work Location:Houston, TX

Process / Mechanical Engineer-

Responsibilities:

• Conduct construction document reviews as required.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup.
• Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to PandID development.
• Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to, mechanical systems and equipment design.
• Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.
• Familiarity with computer-aided drafting applications is required.

Basic Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of ten (10) years experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering.
• Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.
• Focused primarily on relief device calculations.
• Must have good client and communication skills to work across various project entities to ensure that all relief device calculations developed for the entire project are aligned with client requirements.
• Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.
