Description We are looking for a Sr. Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in the Oil & Gas - Exploration & Production industry, situated in Houston, Texas. As a Sr. Accounts Payable Analyst, your main tasks will involve handling and processing accounts payable, establishing relationships, engaging with vendor contracts, and performing account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable diligently and systematically

• Regularly review the AP inbox to ensure all communications are addressed

• Handle vendor contracts, focusing on understanding the terms, discounts, and penalties

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in vendor accounts

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors for smooth operations

• Ensure accurate data entry and invoice processing

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Oracle for efficient management of accounts payable

• Engage in check runs and invoice coding

• Apply your expertise in Oil Exploration as part of your role. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Must have Oil Exploration & Production industry

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Demonstrated ability in Data Entry and Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory

• Experience working with Oracle software is preferred

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
