Robert Half Vulnerabilities Manager in Houston, Texas

Description We are seeking a Vulnerabilities Manager to join our team in Houston, Texas. As part of our team, you will oversee the implementation and maintenance of our vulnerability management program, ensuring it aligns with IT standards and best practices. This role involves leading a team to identify, analyze, and remediate vulnerabilities across various platforms, including cloud, production environments, and endpoints.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team in developing and executing vulnerability management methodologies and procedures.

• Oversee application and infrastructure vulnerability management solutions, particularly with Qualys and VMDR for ServiceNow.

• Supervise the patching processes and related technologies, such as SCCM, Qualys, PowerShell, and Nessus.

• Establish and monitor metrics and trends for vulnerability management functions.

• Coordinate and manage projects to ensure goals and objectives are met.

• Recommend and implement necessary improvements to the vulnerability management program.

• Schedule and perform software and hardware upgrades, patches, and reconfigurations.

• Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for system administration.

• Foster strong working relationships with teams responsible for vulnerability management and patching.

• Supervise daily operations of the Vulnerability Management team, analyze workload, determine work priority, assign duties and oversee work progress.

• Research, identify and recommend industry best practices for solving business problems. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role as a Vulnerabilities Manager.

• Proficiency in using Qualys and Nessus is required for this role.

• Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM and MS SCCM - System Center Configuration Manager is necessary.

• Must have a strong command of PowerShell as it is essential for this job.

• Requires a deep understanding of vulnerability management and cybersecurity best practices.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

• Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

• Must have a strong ability to analyze and solve complex problems.

• Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field.

• Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of risk analysis, threat assessment, and incident response.

• Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
