Job Summary and Qualifications
Interventional Radiology Technologist
We are currently seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis to operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization (CC) as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab (scrubbing, circulating, and recording/monitoring patient status). Rotating call assignments are critical and required.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and performs procedures and care in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner
Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures
Perform technical radiographic procedures in accordance with established operating procedures and routines accurately and in a timely manner
Assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
Obtain high-quality radiographic images
Obtain and document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains informed consent
Maintain effective communication with patient, e.g., provide explanation of procedures within scope of practice
Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists
Required participation in rotating call
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Associates Degree from a 2-year accredited institution or Radiologic Technology School
Current/Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
Current ARRT credential; RCIS credential also considered in conjunction with minimum Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
Minimum of 1 – 3 years licensed experience in Radiology to include at least one (1) year of IR experience
Angio, Peripheral and Neuro experience a plus
BLS required upon hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire
Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments
