Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: You will perform duties in support of project management, control, coordination and execution of all district assigned projects and programs. Perform as a team member of the district project controls group, providing services to the district's portfolio of projects such as planning, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, change management and risk assessment. Perform day to day management and processing of each project and/or program using professional project portfolio management software and established Project Management Business Processes (PMBP). Manage, control, develop, coordinate and execute assigned programs and their documentation requirements to ensure data/document management. Develop and maintain a project management methodology that incorporates schedule and budget templates in the Project Management Plan toolkit. Serve as an advanced user of professional project portfolio management software and district point of contact for all P2 related issues. Support employee P2 training for district organizations. Basic Requirement for Operations Research 1515: Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Operations Research Analyst, Mathematician, Mathematics Statistician, Statistician, Computer Science or Date Science. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
