Canvas is seeking a Quality Engineer. Quality Analyst in Huntsville, AL. This position will support the Prototype Integration Facility (PIF) with expertise focused on quality throughout the lifecycle development of hardware products. Responsible for monitoring and testing the quality of products throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring they meet established standards and specifications by identifying issues, recommending solutions, and implementing quality control procedures to minimize defects, while collaborating with design, production, and other teams to maintain high quality standards across the company; key duties include developing quality plans, conducting inspections, analyzing data, identifying root causes, and proposing improvements to processes and procedures. The PIF is a rapid prototyping capability located on Redstone Arsenal to provide new solutions and tactical capabilities directly to operational units. This position will be fast paced supporting Department of Defense initiatives.

Duties:
- Understanding and experience with product realization process. This r equires a background/expertise in materials, different fabrication processes and ability to identify and control the critical characteristics of the process.
- Knowledge of quality management systems
- Experience with FMECA, process control plans, process mapping (value-stream mapping), and root cause analysis.
- Ability to write Quality Control Plans
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to include statistical process control to improve processes
- Attention to detail and ability to identify defects Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline
- 10 years' experience working as a Quality Engineer/Analyst or similar function in manufacturing
- Automotive background is a plus. (desired)
- AS9100D 8.0- Operations: Understanding of how a given procedure complies with QMS requirements. (desired)
Security Clearance:
Active or ability to obtain a secret clearance
