Nou Systems, Inc. SATCOM/Communications Network Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama

We are pleased to announce the opening for a Missile Defense SATCOM/Communications Network Engineer, who will join our Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team that supports the Missile Defense Agency’s Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Networks organization (BCN).
Responsibilities:
You’ll be:
Providing engineering, technical, and project management expertise to BCN to develop and deploy robust, end-to-end, high availability, test, and operational communication networks for the sharing of information across all MDS assets.
Performing systems engineering and integration to include Military SATCOM Architecture studies and long-haul communications engineering and analysis to include site selections, site surveys, strategic capability development, site planning, providing on-site construction support, site implementation leadership, communications equipment selection, staging, installation, integration, and testing management.
Providing technical analysis of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) provided designs.
Assisting the government with overseeing the Prime Contractor on development of the BCN.
Developing facility requirements and participate in facility design reviews.
Coordinating the installation of facility requirements.
Facilitating working groups and technical interchange meetings.
Integrating communication system components into a larger system.
Drafting/briefing information/decision papers/briefings and staff coordination packages for senior leadership.
Performing assessments of detailed network test data.
Traveling up to 25% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
MS Degree in STEM (Computer Science or Engineering) with 12+ years of related experience
You must possess or can obtain an active SECRET clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with radio frequency (RF) and waveform communications system design.
Experience with DoD terrestrial and satellite communication systems (MILSATCOM).
Understanding of telecommunication systems test data.
Understanding of the requirements review and design review process.
Active Top Secret clearance.
Tactical data links (TDL J, Link 11, Link 16) systems, encryption systems, precision timing systems, and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.
Experience with Missile Defense Agency and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) services.
Experience with large-scale construction projects a plus.
Waveform timing knowledge.
