Primary tasks are systems and application management duties with software development efforts done as secondary tasks. Daily tasks could include:
Product Release Management and Configuration Management (CM)
Use of our SW product release tool to create new production SW release packages to include generation of release notes for each new SW release package; Use of PowerShell or batch scripting to manage installers used for setup of new production SW releases; Installation and verification of new products (SW and datasets) on test devices
Administration of software and terrain products’ configuration management tool and its users; Use of CM tools to ingest product version datasets and create new production branches
Management and Documentation of customized processes associated of quarterly production release packages (SW and datasets) for all fielded devices
Coordinate with the ATB Training team for release notes items that impact published training manuals
Evaluate updates to COTS products to determine impact on existing in-house built SW products (ex: update bus analyzer tool to a newer version then verify existing release software still functions as expected with the updated system dlls; update an IG product then verify existing release software still functions as expected)
Product Support and Application Development
Troubleshoot issues reported by product stakeholders to verify repeatability; Create JIRA tickets for verified issues; Perform regression testing of issues resolved by the team
Help to establish detailed specification (D-SPEC) requirements in support of product specification (P-SPEC) requirements; Work with developers to implement a systems design into a hardware/software configuration to support product testing; Work with developers to support systems design peer reviews
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years or more of relevant experience; Additional four (4) years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess a Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required.
Required Experience/Skills:
Previous experience with System administration and/or application administration tasks (ex: Windows 10 and/or Windows 11, Atlassian Crucible, Helix Core Perforce, Git/GitHub
Configuration management tasks (ex: trunk vs branching, use of labels, creating releases and patches)
Strong communication skills
Previous experience using PowerShell
Desired skills:
VDI configuration management
Scripting/programming languages: C#, C++, C, Python, Unity, Unreal, MS DOS/Windows batch, and/or PowerShell scripting
Application admin experience: Git/GitHub, Crucible; Perforce, Confluence, and JIRA admin experience also considered
MBSE training and/or development
Tech writing experience (ex: building software and/or system test plans, writing system upgrade process documents)
Network management fundamentals
Windows OS admin experience
Cybersecurity fundamentals
