V2X Aircraft Mechanic I in Hurlburt Field, Florida

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Aircraft Mechanic Level 1 (ACM-1) workers repair and troubleshoot malfunctions on C-130, aircraft and components, perform general mechanical maintenance, and operational checks of the assigned systems equivalent to the USAF 5-skill level. They enter data in the maintenance records describing the work performed and verifies they performed the work satisfactorily. They can service engines and airframe components making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. They specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and/or specializes in C-130J engine repair. Mechanic level 1 will also have to assist in or complete: a) Apply aircraft power; b) Aircraft tow operations; c) Aircraft cabin pressure/environmental checks; d) Flight control checks and rigging; e) Avionics checks; f) Electrical checks; g) Environmental checks; g) Hydraulic checks; h) Aircraft jacking; i) Aircraft shoring/cribbing; j) Aircraft refuel/defuel; k) Aircraft liquid oxygen (LOX) servicing/de-servicing; k) Aircraft systems lock-out/tag-out; l)Aircraft systems checkout; m) Operation of all powered and non-powered aerospace ground equipment (AGE); n) Operation of special purpose vehicles such as tugs, forklifts, cranes, and man lifts; o) Communicate with USAF production elements; and p) Support OSDS Contractor Depot Maintenance Team (CDMT) indirect activities such as inventory management, shop organization, shop cleanup, and in-house training.
Key Responsibilities:
Structural /Sheetmetal repairs/fabrication C130J engine work
Airplane general taskings (i.e., tow, jack, crib)
Assist Mechanic 2 and Mechanic 3’s in daily tasks
Load Test / Assist in load testing critical lifting devices for Airforce (AFSOC) assets
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
USAF 5-skill level Equivalent
Experience:
Mechanics must meet all ACM-1 requirements and have technical knowledge and repair capability of aircraft structural/mechanical repair with a minimum of two (2) years of experience on the C-130J variant aircraft.

The following salary is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
Florida Salary: $64,833.60 annually
The salary provided is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation for locations in the Okaloosa county within the state of Florida.
