Primary Responsibilities:

• Support multiple departments and manage a budget of $15-50M or 200+ resources

• Influence other teams across departments and have visibility at the Division level

• Drive the organization towards success in deploying technology to meet business goals at a Portfolio level

• Operate independently without requiring follow-up from senior leaders

• Address team members' weaknesses through coaching, mentoring, and development

• Direct and coordinate initiatives that cross organizational lines

• Create business cases for process and technological enhancements

• Set clear direction on the organization's role and gain support through personal and professional influence

• Build staffing models and strategies to meet business demands within SG&A constraints

• Champion an engineering culture mindset across the organization

• Prepare and present executive-level communications and updates

• Deliver key messages effectively to executives, peers, and team

• Evaluate current operational processes against best practices and industry trends

• Implement new standards across teams and lead with the rationale behind the change

• Adopt emerging standards to ensure operational tools are in line with market expectations

• Establish a culture of modern DevOps software processes and drive implementation across teams

• Drive automation and DevOps practices outside of domain of influence and reduce handoff

• Develop an organization with a culture of modern best practices for security and privacy

• Draft policies and set portfolio-specific policies and requirements

• Manage engineering delivery and lead the team in applying engineering practices

• Identify gaps and risks to ensure seamless outcomes

• Maintain solid knowledge of current and new technologies and apply them to existing problems

• Ensure design patterns and governance structure are in place for the portfolio

• Drive portfolio and department-level optimizations, building common functionality into reusable modular components

• Partner with business peers to define strategic initiatives for a particular business area

• Create and explore scenarios and understand the impacts of different approaches or solutions

• Leverage telemetry to produce meaningful executive metrics and contribute to business strategy for the Department/Division

• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native development

• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks. (React, Python, Java, Node, Go)

• Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing engineering teams

• Solid project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time

• Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
