Job Description

Oracle is a leader in enterprise cloud applications powering many of the world’s largest organizations, and we’re in the process of revolutionizing our application user experiences. The Oracle Application Platform Team enables this application transformation through the creation of our new Redwood user interface components and enterprise-scale backend services.

The Redwood UX Design System is Oracle’s modern UX standard for our SaaS applications. We are building full-stack Redwood components to help Fusion Applications and all other Oracle SaaS products achieve these new UX designs. Redwood components require a set of highly scalable backend services. We are on a quest to provide the most productive platform for developers to build beautiful application experiences for our customers. We’re looking for dedicated engineers who will build the Redwood components and Spectra services.

Oracle Business Object Spectra Service (BOSS) will provide a competitive edge for SaaS teams in adopting the new Redwood Design System and its associated services. BOSS is modern cloud native service built using microservice architecture on netty based Helidon platform and deployed to OCI. BOSS leverages cutting edge open source technologies to build the service and monitor the large production fleets. Currently, SaaS teams are actively preparing for a seamless integration of BOSS, a crucial step towards enhancing the overall user experience. Many SaaS teams have deeply integrated with BOSS to deliver high performance and compelling user experience. BOSS Runtime, REST APIs, Open API integration form the core of the service.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a team of dedicated Java engineers who are ready to take on this challenge to build and own a highly scalable, high performant, highly available cloud service that is critical to the success of Oracle Fusion Applications. We have many large-scale customers who are ready to work with you on this fabulous journey.

What we are looking for from you:

Proven track record of developing and testing enterprise application software. Passionate about building and testing groundbreaking enterprise applications with the understanding that Oracle Application tools and services must be rock solid from a testing, resiliency, and security perspective. Our customers are betting their businesses on our commitment to quality, performance, testing, and security. Teamwork is key here. We are looking for engineers who believe in the value of cross-team collaboration, building demo applications, and automation infrastructure for these projects.

Candidate Profile:

Mandatory: - 3.5-6 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in enterprise software development - Need to have hands-on experience in programming, preferably in Java and/or JavaScript - Experience in J2EE, Java (or JavaScript), and XML based products - Write comprehensive product tests - experience in JUnit/Java code testing framework - Excellent problem-solving skills
