We are looking for a Processing Manager Seed Enhancementto join our Agricultural Solutions team in Parma, ID.

As a Processing Manager for Seed Enhancement, you will direct Enhancement and Treatment for timely, high-quality inventory processing, manage capex collection, complaints, system rates, audits, and site services, oversee team coaching, training, merit budgets, skill matrices, and safety walks and guide visitors in warehousing, conditioning, and trial seeds.

As a Processing Manager, Seed Enhancement, you create chemistry by...

  • Maintaining high-performing personnel flow within the department, including appraisal, training, development, and career planning by using HR instruments, guidelines, procedures, and advice to select and maintain competent employees and ensure an efficient and effective functioning department.

  • Having direct accountability for the precise and accurate execution of all seed enhancement techniques and processes related to seed disinfection (eradication of seed-borne pathogens in chemical or heat treatments).

  • Overseeing seed priming (pre-germination of seeds).

  • Managing pelleting (encapsulation of seeds in pellets).

  • Supervising seed extraction (in particular cases) for all commercialized seed forms to ensure that the enhanced seeds meet the desired high-quality standards.

  • Implementing highly developed drying resources within seed enhancement to guarantee accurate and reliable drying processes of enhanced seeds to achieve the desired shelf lifetime.

  • Having direct accountability for the precise and accurate execution of all seed treatment techniques and processes (application of fungicides and/or insecticides) for all commercialized vegetable seed and product forms to ensure that active ingredients are dosed safely according to set standards.

If you...

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferred. High school diploma or equivalent, required.

  • Possess 2-5 years of experience in seed processing procedures and techniques.

  • Have 3 years of experience in a supervisory position, preferred.

  • Have language skills in English.

  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Demonstrate good people management and interpersonal skills.

  • Can work as a cross-functional team member during peak times with the energy to complete assigned goals.

  • Less than 5% travel, domestic and possibly international, as well
