Position Title: Communications Specialist

Work Location: Town

Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4x10s

Salary Grade 15 Min \$73,075.00 Mid \$91,055.00 Max \$113,665.00

Position Purpose:

Support the development and implementation of strategic communication plans and tactics, for both internal and external audiences.

Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):

• Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design or other related field
• 3 to 5 years experience
• Strong writing skills (samples requested)
• Proven experience as a graphic designer or similar role
• Possess a strong portfolio, showcasing a variety of design projects
• Proficient in use of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Basic knowledge of CSS and JavaScript for web design preferred
• Attention to detail, including spelling and proofreading
• Strong organizational and file management skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

This position includes general duties related to content development for internal and external publications. This requires knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as social media platforms. In addition to these requirements, the following skills are required to successfully perform the duties of this job.

Graphic Design

• Collaborate with communication specialists to develop and execute visual and digital tools associated with strategic communication plans
• Assist in defining and maintaining IECs brand identity and messaging
• Provide creative direction and execution of visual design elements to meet our customers specifications
• Support communication specialists with graphic design support to optimize social media posts to drive engagement

Social media and website management

• Support the management of content for both internal and external websites
• Execute digital marketing tactics
• Develop and implement social media strategies to educate and engage stakeholders
• Create engaging content including graphics, videos and written posts
• Monitor social media channels and respond to comments and messages
• Analyze social media data to track performance and optimize strategies
• Collaborate with the communications team to align social media campaigns with strategic communication objectives
• Apply research skills to stay current with digital marketing trends in support of overall communications strategy
• Provide creative direction and execution of visual design elements on social media platforms to meet our customers specifications

Communication Skills

• Assist in defining and maintaining IECs brand identity and messaging
• Collaborate with communication specialists to develop and execute visual and digital tools associated with strategic communication plans
• Support communication specialists to optimize social media posts to drive engagement

Photography and Videography

• Possess basic knowledge of camera settings and photo/video editing software, preferred
