Description

We are seeking a HR Business Partner based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The HR Business Partner will be expected to handle a variety of responsibilities in the human resources department, ranging from employee relations to managing various HR systems. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department and the overall happiness and well-being of the employees.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to general customer service inquiries and provide accurate information related to HR policies and procedures.

• Develop and update the employee handbooks to ensure that all employees are well-informed about company policies and procedures.

• Manage employee relations, offering support and advice to both employees and management in order to resolve conflicts and promote a positive work environment.

• Handle separation and release agreements, ensuring that all procedures are followed in accordance with legal and company standards.

• Stay informed about Department of Labor minimum salary requirements and ensure that the company is in compliance.

• Conduct regular audits on employee background checks and I-9 document expiration to ensure legal compliance.

• Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to streamline recruitment efforts.

• Assist in web-based performance management, ensuring that all employees receive regular feedback and development opportunities.

• Manage FMLA Covered Employer Tracker, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.

• Handle Workers Compensation administration, ensuring all claims are processed in a timely and efficient manner.

• Manage EEO-1 reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submission of required reports.

• Stay updated about changes in Labor Law and ensure that all required posters are displayed in the workplace.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with FLSA regulations.

• Manage the company's Learning & Compliance web-based platform, ensuring that all employees have access to necessary training and development resources.

Skills required for this role include Employee Relations and knowledge of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Requirements • Possession of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Human Resources role

• Proven experience in Employee Relations

• Knowledge and experience in handling FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) related matters

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize

• Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
