Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work Order and Parts Management: Assist with handling work orders and managing parts inventory.

  • Vendor Coordination: Follow up with vendors and oversee purchase orders.

  • Maintenance Support: Provide on-floor support to the maintenance team.

  • Parts Management: Understand and manage various types of maintenance parts.

  • Tool Crib Management: Order parts and manage the tool crib effectively.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on equipment.

  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain motors and other mechanical components.

  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair equipment issues as needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Adaptability: Ability to learn and work in less-than-ideal conditions.

  • Maintenance Experience: Proven experience in maintenance, particularly with motors and parts.

  • Technical Proficiency: Competency with computer systems and software.

  • Inventory Management: Knowledge of tool crib and storeroom management.

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills, including experience with pneumatics.

  • Preventive Maintenance Expertise: Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.

  • Repair Skills: Strong repair and installation abilities.

  • Fabrication: Capability to perform fabrication tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Our facility comprises 30 dedicated individuals, including a maintenance team of five. The environment can be dusty due to our food-related product, which leaves a fine layer of dust on the floor, and the shop floor has a distinct metallic smell. The position operates on a first shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work.

Job Type & Location:

  • This is a Contract to Hire position located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
