Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist processes multiple facility payrolls weekly. Assists our facility payroll staff with problems in a professional and effective manner in accordance with corporate policies and procedures and with federal and state regulations

What will you be doing and how will you make a difference at American Senior Communities?

  • Process Long-Term Care & Assisted Living payroll for various communities under the ASC umbrella

  • Audit Kronos Timeclock, all Bonus programs and any other Special Pay programs

  • Assist the facility-based Payroll Coordinators with questions and/or concerns

  • Make a difference in the lives of the employees we serve by providing them excellent customer service

  • Acting as a positive teammate to fellow employees by helping onboard new teammates.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required and/or equivalent related work experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Payroll Experience with at least one (1) year Long-Term Healthcare payroll experience is required

  • Knowledge with Federal and State laws regarding payroll

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Previous experience utilizing UKG Pro Payroll system strongly preferred but not required

  • Excellent attention to details as keyed entry accuracy and auditing is critical for this role

  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
