JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop solutions for company's plants to satisfy the capacity customer and quality constraints
Supervise capital projects and interface with contractors and other engineers during field installations
Support and troubleshoot issues with control systems including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, and interface systems to PLC"s such as HMI, SCADA and others as needed
Leverage subject matter expertise as an Electrical Engineer as part of Electrical Engineering Center of Excellence team
Prepare conceptual drawings, and budgetary project estimates, and submit Capital Approval Requests for management approval
Develop project scope definition, materials and labor cost estimates, and competitive bidding documents for equipment and contract work
Assist and lead in the identification and recommendation for purchase, modification and improvement of both standard and custom designed specialty processing equipment with a focus on PLC controls
Work closely with and involve the plant team while developing scopes for the mechanical engineering-related projects
Seek potential bidders, coordinate the bidding process, and prepare bid packages and equipment specifications
Evaluate new processes and equipment to determine the benefits of the company
Investigate circumstances surrounding each assigned project and prepare a definition of objectives
Prepare calculations, design layouts, and AutoCAD drawings as required for project study evaluation approval and installation
Provide operational support and troubleshooting for ongoing issues that plant teams cannot manage.
Participate and/or lead root cause analysis on equipment failures
Document maintenance task steps to properly maintain manufacturing equipment
Collaborate and support plant maintenance teams with respect to preventive and predictive maintenance of the mechanical systems
Train plant operations and maintenance teams on the operation/troubleshooting of the mechanical systems in glass bottle manufacturing
Work closely with and involve plant team while developing scopes for the electrical engineering related projects
Provide operational support and troubleshooting for ongoing issues that plant teams cannot manage.
Collaborate and support plant maintenance teams with respect to preventive and predictive maintenance of the electrical systems
Train relevant personnel on electrical principles and design best practices, as well as the operation/troubleshooting in glass bottle manufacturing
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
Seven (7) years in a manufacturing environment including construction and project management experience
Must have at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment (construction and project management experience)
AutoCAD experience is a must (2D prints-1 lines, electrical prints for power distribution & facility)
Experience in Industries that use large power systems on a large scale
Must be a U.S Citizen
Ability to design and render working drawings for a variety of manufacturing processes
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in planning and organization
Detail-oriented and can identify problems and make recommendations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel up to 75%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in glass container process equipment and production
Internal facility power distribution experience preferred
Prior experience with preventive and/or predictive maintenance programs and CMMS
Servant leader mindset while supporting engineering and plant teams
