Job Description
Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will:
Take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Suggest and justify product directions within approved directions. Define responsibilities for new projects and specifies, designs, and develops software according to those specifications. Provide consultative software guidance and strategic direction associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Design and develop data migration automation tools to support domain consolidation efforts, ensuring seamless data transfer and minimal downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data migration requirements, develop migration plans, and execute migrations with minimal disruption to business operations.
Develop business continuity and disaster recovery products in OCI, ensuring the highest levels of data integrity and system availability.
Design and implement data replication, backup, and recovery processes to ensure data protection and business continuity.
Collaborate with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions for data migration, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical guides.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize requirements towards effective and efficient system design.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
At least 15 years of experience in software architecture, data migration, and cloud computing.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including compute, storage, networking, and database services.
Proven experience in designing and developing data migration automation tools and business continuity/disaster recovery products.
Strong understanding of data replication, backup, and recovery processes, including Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Recovery Manager.
Experience with cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing.
Strong technical leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure products or Oracle Health products.
Acknowledged expert/professional within company and/or industry nationally and internationally. Provides leadership in the development and strategic direction of new products, processes, techniques. Acts as primary consultant on large projects that effect the organization's long term objectives / strategy. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 more years of software engineering or related experience.
