Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Inkster, Michigan

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Inkster, Michigan. This role is primarily focused on executing various accounting and financial management tasks. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be expected to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial operations, from processing transactions to generating reports.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to contribute to strategic decision-making processes.

• Prepare detailed financial reports to monitor the organization's financial health.

• Oversee general ledger functions and perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Utilize financial software to record transactions, manage customer credit applications, and generate insightful reports.

• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

• Assist in the implementation of internal controls in line with regulations.

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Contribute to the financial success of the organization by analyzing complex financial data and providing recommendations for improvement. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.

• Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

• Must have experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Strong Financial Analysis skills are required.

• Familiarity with various accounting policies and procedures.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment.
