Job Title: Receiving Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Receiving Inspector to join our team on a 1st Shift 4/10 schedule, working from 6am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays as needed. Our company specializes in manufacturing Military & Defense grade switches and keyboards for airplane cockpit control applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection on all components and materials received from outside procurement activities and internal manufacturing and assembly activities.

  • Document inspection results using the company proprietary database.

  • Conduct functional testing of products using DMM and proprietary test bench.

  • Perform AS9102 1st Article Inspection on all required components.

  • Document non-conformances and corrective actions (NCMR and CAR).

  • Prioritize work based on schedules and input from other departments to support production needs.

  • Communicate quality standards to others within the organization.

  • Maintain quality and inspection records for traceability.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of inspection experience.

  • Experience in interpreting Engineering drawings and electrical schematics (including GD&T).

  • Proficiency with office applications: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat.

  • Working knowledge of measurement and inspection tools (calipers, visual comparator, DMM, micrometers, height gage, thread gage, force gage, etc.).

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Aerospace or Military/Defense background.

  • Knowledge and experience with GD&T.

  • Experience working with small tolerances (.005).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to read Engineering drawings.

  • ITAR compliance.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment

Work in a small, close-knit environment with approximately 40 production employees. This position requires frequently sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and handling/grasping of materials in manufacturing. Occasionally, the role may require kneeling, bending, and squatting. Finger dexterity and the ability to use a keyboard/ten key are necessary, as well as good eyesight for use of a magnifying glass and working with small parts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
