This role will be responsible for organizing and facilitating the Production Planning Process with cross-functional teams to balance demand and supply plan to achieve Business Targets for the assigned Product Line Globally.
Responsibilities
Using the global demand forecast, develop schedules to ensure the timely completion of manufacturing processes, for commercial and non-commercial builds.
Adjust and update schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand, equipment and material availability, and/or other production delays.
Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Collaborate closely with various departments (including Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Logistics) to ensure smooth production operations.
Facilitate effective communication between departments to address any production-related issues.
Identify and escalate constraints (as needed) that will impede overall production/supply goals.
Develop long-term production plans to meet business objectives and customer demand.
Generate and analyze production performance reports including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, line down time, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.
Reports to senior management on production performance, schedules, and KPIs. (ie planned vs. actual)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in running and/or implementing production plans in a manufacturing environment.
Education: A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, or business administration preferred. Equivalent work experience accepted. Master's degree or relevant certifications (like APICS CPIM or CSCP) is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, and/or related areas.
ERP system knowledge with strong linkage of financial, material and supply flows.
Able to work at a high level independently with minimal oversight.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data-driven decision-making is essential for optimizing inventory levels.
Communication: Effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate with various teams, negotiate with stakeholders and present a cohesive plan with actions /decisions.
Change Agent: Strong passion to add value and drive sustainable change management processes.Problem-Solving: The ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and implement strategies to resolve inventory-related issues is crucial.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems, Planning Processes and inventory analysis tools.Organizational Savvy. Balances different views and interests of the members of the organization when developing solutions
Position will be required to work in clean room at times, ability to wear protective gear in lab.
Proficient in MS Office (I,e, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to Travel as needed
Pay / Compensation
The expected pre-tax pay rate for this position is $85,250 - $115,000
Actual pay may fluctuate outside of the listed range depending on skills, education, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
