Job Location: Irving, TX

Duration: Fulltime with Cognizant

Job Responsibilities:

· Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Cassandra database clusters in both non-production and production environments.

· Manage database schemas, tables, indexes, and user permissions. Perform database backups, recovery, and restoration activities.

· Solid understanding of No SQL Database

· Solid experience in writing queries

· Expert in data structure design, Data Modelling in Cassandra

· Experience in handling big data

· Experience in Performance tuning

Preferred Qualifications:

· Ability to perform effectively in a team-oriented environment.

· Ability to quickly learn new technologies and business functions.

· Strong analytical skills to determine effective approaches to business solutions.

· Understanding of database best practices and the ability to promote those best practices in the organization.

· Experience working in an Agile or iterative approach to delivery preferred.

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
