Costco Wholesale Corporation is seeking a Cloud Engineer for its Issaquah, Washington office.

Job Duties: Be responsible for production sustainability of ecommerce cloud based mission critical applications. Design and implement secure applications hosted on cloud environment. Develop team vision to drive new software capabilities against a published roadmap. Ensure that proposed and existing software systems align with organizational standards, goals, and objectives. Integrate diverse solution components across multiple platforms using industry standard interfaces. Support industry standard source control and source change management techniques. Provide technical leadership in implementation of cloud applications using cloud technologies (PaaS, IaaS), database query languages and web programming languages. Design, implement and manage secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure environments. Propose and implement cloud infrastructure and automation to drive efficiency. Develop monitoring rules and manage resources including Azure Load Balancers, VNet, Subnets, Resource Groups, and Network Security Groups. Manage and fix platform related issues and support the Azure DevOps environment Operating System Patching.  Set up, implement, and document the DevOps CI/CD pipeline. Proactive Monitoring, Alerting, Logging, and Analytics, while leveraging appropriate Azure native tools and third-party services and tools provided by Costco for Network, Compute, and Storage. Create, manage, and maintain Operations Runbook consisting of standard operating procedures, configurations, lessons learned, root cause analysis, diagnostic steps and solutions to resolve future incidents. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering or a related field. Plus one year of experience in: Design, architect, and implement highly scalable cloud solutions (Azure/GCP/AWS); Shell scripting and automation scripting for operations and application programming tasks; Deploying enterprise cloud technologies; Enterprise software systems; Developing monitoring rules and managing resources including Azure Load Balancers, VNet, Subnets, Resource Groups, and Network Security Groups; and Proposing and implementing cloud infrastructure and automation to drive efficiency.

Alternative requirements: Three years of experience in: Design, architect, and implement highly scalable cloud solutions (Azure/GCP/AWS); Shell scripting and automation scripting for operations and application programming tasks; Deploying enterprise cloud technologies; Enterprise software systems; Developing monitoring rules and managing resources including Azure Load Balancers, VNet, Subnets, Resource Groups, and Network Security Groups; and Proposing and implementing cloud infrastructure and automation to drive efficiency.
