Ithaca College ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - COMPOSITION AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC in Ithaca, New York

Position: The Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, and Dance invites applicants for a tenure-track position in music composition at the assistant professor level beginning in Fall 2025. The ideal candidate will be an engaging and creative teacher, have an active compositional career, and be well-versed in composition, music technology, and electronic and electroacoustic music. Ithaca College is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. 

Qualifications: Completed doctorate in composition at the time of appointment; at least one year of full-time college-level teaching experience (or the equivalent) beyond the graduate-assistant level; demonstrated excellence as a composer; knowledge of electronic media. The successful candidate will teach private composition lessons and composition-related classes, including classes involving music technology, and will manage and maintain an electronic music studio. The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for working collaboratively and collegially with faculty, staff, and students.

Hiring Range: $61,000 - $63,500, dependent on discipline, qualifications and experience.
