Minimum of bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field is required as well as, demonstrated leadership skills. Teaching experience is preferred.
Ensure that the program meets all Head Start Performance Standards and ODJFS Licensing Rules.
Obtain Professional Development Specialist Credential
Complete Practice Based Coaching training and monitor teacher CDA process
Obtain CLASS Certification and perform CLASS observations. Monitors all classrooms and teaching staff as outlined in the Education Services Monitoring Plan
Monitors lesson plans and documentation notes of teaching staff
Purchasing, vouchering, distributing and inventorying classroom supplies
Track and monitor classroom outcomes using the online assessment tool.
Analyze data and generate reports
In charge of teaching staff trainings and meetings
Provide teacher coverage in the classroom when needed, short or long term
Responsible for transitioning plans for children coming in or leaving the Head Start program
