Job Title: Aviation Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-time; Contract (7 months)
Location: Jacksonville, FL 32221
Pay Rate: $ 26.61-33.69/hr
Overview: Our Jacksonville facility is seeking motivated Aviation Maintenance Technicians to support military warfighter readiness by providing critical maintenance repairs and modifications for our military customers. Primary Responsibilities:
Read and interpret wire schematics and diagrams
Perform bonding, resistance, and continuity checks
Locate correct wire routing on system installs
Independently perform AC/DC power checks
Complete proper wire installation, including spacing, use of cable ties and lacing tape, bundle opening, connector removal and installation, and special cable care
Perform basic wiring termination (e.g., wire striping, connector pins/sockets, splices, coaxial connectors, and shielded twisted pair splicing)
Utilize electrical and measuring tools, including environmental crimpers, Daniels crimpers, AMP crimper, Burndy crimper, megohmmeter, multimeter, strippers, push-pull scale, weigh scale, and bond meters
Install fiber optics, coaxial cable, quadrax, etc.
Perform Air Data Testing with proper assistance
Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs, and functional tests on Avionic and Electrical systems
Highlight technical issues, discrepancies, or other issues to the lead and manager
General Responsibilities:

Follow guidance from leads and senior Subject Matter Experts (SME)
Execute duties while wearing required safety equipment
Complete required company and specific statement of work training requirements
Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits for assigned work
Demonstrate a safe work ethic
Perform detailed tool inventories daily
Communicate using basic computer systems, including Microsoft Office
Contribute positively to an open and honest reporting culture
Report incidents and occurrences in the Safety Management System
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes, and procedures
Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness within assigned work areas
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Be flexible to ensure aircraft are delivered on time to customers
Perform other duties as directed by management
Display appropriate behaviors including Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Security Clearance:
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of Aircraft Mechanic experience (commercial, defense, or relevant trade apprenticeship)
3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant
Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environment processes (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety, and COSHH)
Typical Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of industry or military experience
Pay Details: $26.61 to $33.69 per hour
