Job Title: CNC Machinist

Overview:

Pay: $23-28 an hour

Shift: Night shift: M-Th 2:30pm - 1am. Day Shift: M-F 6am-2:30pm.

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Job Description:

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for running either CNC Mills or lathes. Familiarity with both Mazak and Fanuc controls is essential as the machinist will switch between them. This role is not in a production shop environment. The CNC Machinist will operate CNC mills or CNC lathe machines to produce metal parts for heavy machinery and equipment, running anywhere from 2-20 pieces a day with multiple setups per day, as run times are typically 20-30 minutes. Proficiency in multiple machines is beneficial, as the machinist may be required to operate various machines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills or CNC lathe machines to produce metal parts for heavy machinery and equipment.

• Switch between Mazak and Fanuc controls as required.

• Run 2-20 pieces a day with typical run times of 20-30 minutes.

• Perform multiple setups per day.

• Operate multiple machines simultaneously when necessary.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of CNC machining experience, operating Mills and lathes.

• Proficiency in Mazak and Fanuc controls.

• Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, hand tools, and lifting devices.

• Ability to work within +/- .0005 tolerance.

• Experience with setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills.

• Familiarity with G Code.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with a Mazak Integrex mill-turn is a plus.

• Experience machining metal parts.

• Ability to operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.

• Preferably experienced in machining large metal pieces.

• Job shop experience is ideal.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
