Job Title: Material Coordinator

Job Description

Perform a variety of activities including but not limited to material handling, shipping, receiving, and packaging with a minimum amount of supervision. Coordinate workflow and monitor activities for one or more work centers in support of manufacturing and fabrication schedules. Work under the direction of the Sr. Production Supervisor of Warehouse/Stockroom.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various types of freight from incoming shipments.

• Receive and store incoming materials as required, ensuring database accuracy on quantity, lot numbers, expiration dates, and any other pertinent information that may apply to associated paperwork (e.g. work orders, packing slips, bills of lading, etc.).

• Prepare items for shipment; validate identifying information, count, weight, size, and labels, as required.

• Work with cell leaders to monitor work centers utilizing work center dispatch reports, cell tact time analysis, and related material to ensure on-time start dates and completions.

• Maintain effective liaison with other Materials functions, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, and Manufacturing as well as all operations support departments to understand and comply with schedule requirements.

• Select specific components as indicated on work orders, make adjustments in database as necessary to maintain component traceability, and inventory accuracy.

• Perform cycle counts, ensuring 95% accuracy levels are maintained per policy and procedure.

• Lift 40 lbs without assistance, on feet majority of the day.

The company provides a very organized and clean facility with good lighting and all necessary tools. The facility is climate controlled and provides a comfortable working environment.
