Job Title: Mechanical Drafter
Job Description
We are seeking 15 Mechanical Drafters, 7 Designers, and 6 Engineers to support a new program with the Navy. This program focuses on developing simulators for Navy aircraft. Our current team of 14 drafters requires expansion to meet the workload demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Create shop drawings for military aircraft and simulators
Perform solid 3D modeling; a background in sheet metal is advantageous
Manage large assemblies, including sheet metal, parts, sub-assemblies, hardware, and imported files
Enhance modeling skills, provide software training, and suggest improvements for Design Engineers
Create shop drawings for custom equipment, including weldments
Design and draft complex parts and assemblies with mechanical design/integration skills
Manage small/large CAD assemblies and associated drawings
Utilize a PDM Product Management Database
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics per product
Design CAD models per customer specifications and order sheets
Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to deliver drafts for customer review
Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines
Troubleshoot and adapt model files from CAD library to meet customer specifications
Apply knowledge of GD&T for manufacturing sheet metal

This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.
