Job Title: Trailer Mechanic

Job Description

As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of performing repairs and installations on trailers, chassis, and containers. Your daily tasks will include swapping trailer chassis, moving boxes from one chassis to another, metal fabrication, and repairing or replacing trailer components such as doors, hinges, metal floors, wall panels, and roofs. You will engage in both aluminum and steel welding, primarily using MIG for aluminum and Stick welding for steel. Additionally, your role involves electrical wiring tasks predominantly involving DC wiring, setting up lights, brakes, and other electrical components on the chassis. You may also be required to install additional items like lift gates. Material movement within the facility using a forklift will also be part of your duties.

Job Overview:

• Pay Rate: $18-$24

• Shift: 1st and 2nd Shifts

• 6+ months experience working on trailers and chassis

• Experience performing repairs on trailers and chassis

• Metal Fabrication

• Installing metal flooring and metal sheets into trailers

• Trailer chassis swaps

• Fabrication of metal frames, bumpers etc

• MIG and Stick welding

• Installing and wiring lights

• DC electrical wiring

• Installation or repair of hinges, doors, roofs, frames, and panels
