JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid. Reviews and evaluates requests for estimates. Executes take-offs of construction documents and inputs take-offs into a computer spreadsheet. Obtains pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors. Informs the immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items/computer database. Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc. Reviews estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy. Attends departmental meetings as required. Photocopies documents and plans. Modify Existing Worksheets of our standard products to meet specific requirements of a projectas needed. Determine buyout items and work with the purchasing department in obtaining pricing. Meeting strict bid deadlines Work with our product vendors to find the right product/ solution for a specific job requirement. Attend product design meeting with Project Management and Engineering to ensure the final design meets the original product budget. Work with Project Management in monitoring material and labor costs during the manufacturing stage of the project. Assist with gathering shop labor time study information Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (required):
Excellent team-working and communication skills A strong work ethic, initiative to go the extra mile and an ability to meet stressful deadlines and customer demands Ability to manage multiple projects at one time Must be a goal-oriented individual Willingness to learn and always work to improve Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies when reviewing information. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel Microsoft Access skills are a plus
QUALIFICATIONS (desired):
Experience using an Estimating Software Experience using AutoCAD Knowledge of AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute). Completion of AWI Accreditation is required within the first three months of employment Ability to read and understand architectural drawing and specifications Experience dealing with contractors and the contract bidding process
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma/GED. At least 1+ years related industry experience. Continued education and proficiency in software applications, like Microsoft Office Suite, Hedberg, and Adobe products. BA/BS in Business, Construction Management or related field preferred Ability to prioritize workflow to handle a diversity of tasks at once and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and ethical conduct. Express self clearly and professionally in both written and verbal form. Works as a team player to demonstrate enthusiasm, optimism, and persistence. Excellent mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills.

WAGES: Full-time, benefit eligible position: $20.00 $24.00 hourly; wages are largely based on experience and level of skill which can be discussed during time of interview.
