Kuehne+Nagel National Project Logistics Customer Excellence Manager in Johannesburg, South Africa

The Customer Excellence Manager drives top-tier customer service and profitability in Project Logistics Operations, ensuring successful onboarding, strategic leadership, and talent development.

Your Role

The Customer Excellence Manager is responsible for achieving top-tier customer service and profitability in Project Logistics Operations by managing supporting workstreams and ensuring successful customer onboarding. This role also involves providing strategic leadership, mentoring, and talent development to ensure the delivery of Corporate Project Logistics strategies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage Project Logistics P&L, meeting NPII targets and maintaining financial reporting.

  • Lead and guide the operational management team.

  • Ensure the highest customer service quality at all times.

  • Drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvements.

  • Maintain required staffing levels based on business and financial needs.

  • Provide clear plans for strategy deployment to the operational management team.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • Multiple years of experience in Project Management and Project Logistics.

  • Understand and interpret customer needs, motivating teams to satisfy them.

  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen and P&L management to meet and surpass targets.

  • Exhibit excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.

  • Be results and KPI driven, providing timely and respectful coaching to ensure operational excellence.

  • Possess proficiency in English.
